Kate Morton is a Registered Dietitian and as a nutrition coach focuses on menstruation, PMS, perimenopause, menopause , anti-diet culture education and infertility. Kate is an advocate for “seed cycling” as one way to handle side effects of menstrual cycles and sells products on her Funk It Wellness site.

 In this episode, Kate and Heather talk about seed cycling, birth control’s various uses, how food affects our hormonal balance, cortisol levels, infertility and perimenopause. Kate offers practical tips on hormones, foods we eat and effects of our menstrual cycle.

Kate has a master’s degree in Human Clinical Nutrition. After completing her studies, she moved to New Zealand where she began working with wellness start-ups to develop nutritionally sound products in the “better for you” market. While in New Zealand, she dove deeper into the science of hormones and cyclical living.  Kate’s mission is to empower all menstruators to have autonomy over their bodies and learn to make peace with food and their cycles.
